During my weeks work placement at the ITV Studios with This Morning, I learnt so much and felt that my time there really benefitted me. From the week, I used all my skills as a multimedia journalist that I've learnt over the last three years of my degree, but also adapted and gained new ones. Throughout the week, I took part in watching the live show broadcasting, helping out in the fashion, art and demo departments, as well as assisting with the production and editing side of the job, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's made me further the fact that I'd really love to work in TV and the broadcasting side of things when it comes to a career after university. 

Everyone I worked with throughout the week were very welcoming. They each allowed me to tailor the jobs I helped out with to the type of experience I wanted. It was really good to be able to shadow and watch what the staff there do. It really opened my eyes into how much work goes into the making of these daytime programmes.

I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the This Morning team because I was able to get an insight into what it would be like to work for them as a company. India, who I met as my point of contact there was lovely and really made me feel part of the team. She made sure that my contact details were in their books incase they wanted to contact me in the future regarding a job or freelance work. I was extremely happy about this, especially when a career like this is something I'm interested in.

I really enjoyed my placement and I gained so much out of it. The week went so quickly, which obviously meant that I was taking every opportunity I could get throughout the day. I'm definitely hoping to go back in the future.
