I really enjoyed my night reporting for the general election at the Eastleigh count. I was partnered with two other course mates and our task was to use our social media profiles to update audiences on what was happening at the count, and when any crucial information was given to us. We decided to do this through using a thread on Twitter, which we updated with written status' and video footage.

One part that I really enjoyed was when I attended a Skype call and interview with both a student radio station and an actual radio station in Scotland, updating them on what was happening at my Eastleigh count.

 

The night and the reporting of it was something that none of us had ever experienced before. It was very tiring but was worth it. I now have the experience of what it's like reporting at an election count for when I enter the industry.
